Let me start by telling my story before explaining about all the reasons why you should apply! my name is Samar Morshedi, I am 31 years old, and I have 8+ years of experience in B2B sales, key account management and R&D.

Last year I took the risk to quit my job, left all the stabilities behind and came to the Netherlands to do my MBA, which was an adventurous and self-flourishing journey for me! Now I hold a Master of Business Administration degree from a top ranked Business school in the Netherlands. It is my dream to start a business that helps professionals end up in the right positions and jobs in which they can discover their hidden potentials and on the other hand help organizations to make smarter HR decisions and prevent them to lose their talents!

I am an Entrepreneur in residence at Holland Startup. They are a venture builder who can provide us with advice of experienced entrepreneurs and with funding. The only missing piece is….You! I am looking for my partner-in-crime to join me on this entrepreneurial adventure and explore together all relevant fields of interest. What drives me to build my own company is to solve a real problem, which can make people’s life better!

Post COVID-19 era needs a new approach to HR

The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed a tremendous cost on people’s lives and livelihoods, and it has forced business to adjust rapidly to survive. Employee experience and connectivity have taken on whole new meanings as extended work from home policies have required organizations to be intentional about building each. In blunt terms, work can’t be another source of anxiety or uncertainty for employees right now. They have more than enough going on!

Moreover, given the shifts in how value is being created in the post-COVID-19 world, the talent base required to deliver that value may need to shift as well. As such, it is natural that workforce planning, strategy, and change is the category of HR spending most likely to increase over the next 12 months.

Two above mentioned facts and many others clearly show that companies are feeling more than before, the urgency of making smarter and more data-driven decisions in the HR field by making use of technologies such as AI, which is creating a lot of opportunities for HR Tech startups!

A bit about Holland startup…

Holland Startup is an Utrecht-based venture builder, with the goal of helping young entrepreneurs succeed and overcome the pitfalls of venture building. They are specialists in the design, incubation, acceleration and active operational support of digital companies and their founders. The core philosophy is “Enabling young entrepreneurs to shape our society”. Holland Startup provides these entrepreneurs (which could be you!) with office space, a community of over 40 people, startup coaching, and around €200.000 in funding to kickstart your business.

Wat is vereist?

  • You have affinity with or a background in leadership development, HR, Neuropsychology, cognitive science, Artificial Intelligence or a related
  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field;
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (speaking Dutch is a plus);
  • More than 2 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Innovative, open-minded, goal-oriented, adaptable and flexible;
  • Living in the Netherlands, preferably close to Utrecht, or at an acceptable travel distance from Utrecht;
  • Ability to work in the Netherlands for at least three months after start, hereafter we can facilitate a startup visa if necessary;
  • Interested in starting a Software as a Service (SAAS) company;

Wat krijg je?

As founders, it will be our primary task to validate our envisioned solution
and build a startup. You and I will be helped in shaping our ambitions
through a coaching program, but we engineer the mission and strategy of
our own business. You get:
